On Friday, officers were made aware of a numbers of incidents between a couple over the course of several months where the female reported being sexually assaulted, slapped, choked, kicked and that the man was threatening to distribute personal photos of the woman. She also indicated the male had a gun in his vehicle.

At roughly 7:30 p.m., officers attended a residence in the Brealey Drive and Stenson Boulevard area when the suspect pulled into the parking lot. Since there was a firearm possibility, a high-risk takedown was conducted including K9 Gryphon to prevent escape according to a police report. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and a replica gun and ammunition were located and seized from the vehicle.

The man was arrested and charged with:

  • Sexual Assault

  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm - Choke, suffocate or strangle

  • Assault - Spousal x4

  • Extortion

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on Saturday.
