The City of Peterborough has launched a public consultation for proposed changes to Park Street North between Wolsely Street and Sherbrooke Street as part of planned road resurfacing work in 2026.
The proposed improvements are aimed at making the corridor safer and more connected for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. The work would be completed within the existing roadway, meaning there would be no changes to sidewalks, trees, driveways or boulevards.
Some of the proposed changes include adding cycling facilities, reducing speed limits, narrowing travel lanes to help discourage speeding, and improving pedestrian safety. The City is also considering changes to on-street parking in some sections of the corridor.
