Coach Cal Brings Tears of Joy to Ellen DeGeneres With Motivational Speech

“Coach Cal” may have had his biggest platform making an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that aired on Wednesday.

Also known as Callan Perks, the seven-year-old viral sensation discussed how he became famous with the Los Angeles host. Perks gave a pep talk to DeGeneres for having her show run for 19 seasons.

After being moved from Perks’s speech, DeGeneres gave him his own gift package of a tracksuit, clipboard and megaphone to continue his motivational speaking.

Perks wants to be an NHL player when he grows up. Following that, he wants to be a hockey coach or general manager.

Perks is a grade 2 student at Lakefield District Public School. He has played hockey as a centreman since he was three.

His favourite NHL team is the Edmonton Oilers with team captain Connor McDavid as his favourite player.
