Mississauga Man Arrested For Stunt Driving After Going 96 In a 50 Km/H Zone

A 61-year-old Mississauga man is facing stunt driving charges after going 46 km/h over the limit on Wednesday morning.

At roughly 11:30 a.m., an officer from the Traffic Unit was in the area of Lily Lake Road and clocked a vehicle going 96km/hr in a posted 50km/hr zone.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and the driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act)

  • Speeding (Highway Traffic Act)

The driver was issued a 30-day licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.

The driver is scheduled to attend court in February.
