Multiple Charges Laid On Man Who Struck a Pedestrian With His Vehicle In May
/Charges have been laid against a 79-year-old Peterborough driver in connection with a collision involving striking a pedestrian on May 27.

The incident occurred in the area of Charlotte Street and Reid Street at roughly 3:45 p.m.
The 43-year-old pedestrian was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment of several injuries but the driver was not injured.
The road was closed for several hours while the Traffic Unit reconstructed the collision.
The Peterborough driver was charged with:
Careless driving causing bodily harm (Highway Traffic Act)
Operate unsafe vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)
Improper braking (Highway Traffic Act)
Operate Ebike or vehicle on sidewalk (Peterborough Bylaw-Active Transportation14-096)
