One Person Taken to Hospital From Shooting Incident

One person was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre then airlifted to a Toronto hospital after a shooting that occurred on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the area of Parkhill Road and George Street North. Police increased their presence in the area for several hours and reopened in the early evening.

The event occurred around 4 p.m. inside a residence. Police believe this to be an isolated incident, with the investigation ongoing.
