Ottawa Woman Arrested In Peterborough For Operating Stolen Vehicle
/A 40-year-old Ottawa woman is facing a charge after officers were alerted to a stolen vehicle on Wednesday evening.

At roughly 7:20 p.m., officers were alerted by the Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) to a stolen vehicle from the Ottawa area. Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot near Chemong Drive and Milroy Drive, activated their emergency lights, and conducted a high-risk vehicle stop with firearms drawn. Two women exited the vehicle and were taken into custody without incident. One woman was released unconditionally after the investigation.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 3, on the Peterborough matter.
