Peterborough Man Arrested After Driving With Suspended License and Providing a Fake Name
/A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop including giving a fake name and driving with a suspended license on Thursday afternoon.

At around noon, a Traffic Unit officer observed a vehicle in the area of Water Street and McDonnel Street. They initiated a traffic stop after learning the vehicle had an unconfirmed insurance status.
During the investigation, it was determined that the driver provided the officer with a false name and date of birth and was currently suspended.
The man was arrested and charged with:
Obstruct Police Officer
Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
Driving while under suspension (HTA)
Driver while under suspension – while suspended under HTA sec 41/42 (HTA)
