Peterborough Man Arrested For Breaking-and-Entering After Leaving a Residence With a Wallet and Other Items
/A 53-year-old Peterborough man is facing a breaking-and-entering charge after being discovered in a residence on Sunday morning.

At approximately 7:45 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the Sherbrooke Street and Stewart Street area about a break-and-enter. Officers spoke with the homeowner, who stated they found an unknown man in their home. The homeowner asked the man to leave and he did but not before a wallet and some other items were discovered missing after exiting. Officers searched the area and located a man matching the description given to police a short distance away. Officers were able to return the property to the homeowner.
