Peterborough Petes Fall To Ottawa 67’s 5-2 During Third Game In Three Days

The Peterborough Petes were in the Nation’s Capital Sunday for their third game in three days, ultimately falling to the Ottawa 67’s with a final score of 5-2.

Masen Johnston led the way for the Petes, making 41 saves in the loss. Braydon McCallum scored the first Petes goal, while Kieron Walton scored his fourth goal in four games. Garrett Frazer and Aiden Young picked up an assist each in the game.

While the first period saw no goals from either team, McCallum opened the scoring for the Petes early in the second. The 67’s finished out the period with three goals by Kaleb Dietsch, Thomas Vandenberg and Nic Sima.

In the third, Ottawa’s Spencer Bowes continued the lead for the 67’s, while Walton scored for the Petes later in the period. The 67’s closed out the game with another goal from Sima, wrapping the evening up with a final score of 5-2.

The Petes are back in action on Thursday when they host the Saginaw Spirit. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
