Peterborough Police Arrest One Suspect From Two-Vehicle and Business Theft In Lakefield
/One person has been arrested and charged in connection with a break and enter and stolen vehicle incident that happened Monday at a Lakefield business as well as another break and enter at a Peterborough business on Tuesday.

Police identified a suspect after an investigation and a warrant for their arrest was issued. The man was arrested on an unrelated matter in another jurisdiction and handed over to Peterborough Police on the strength of the warrant on Wednesday.
As a result of the investigation, the 29-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
Lakefield Incident:
Break & Enter a place and steal a firearm
Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence
Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court
Fail to Comply with Probation Order X3
Theft of Motor Vehicle
Peterborough Incident (Business in the Webber Avenue and Lansdowne Street West area):
Break and enter and commit indictable offence
Fail to comply with probation order X3
