Peterborough Police Issue Public Warning of Springtime Paving Scam

The Peterborough Police Service is issuing a warning to homeowners to be aware of springtime scammers involving paving/driveway sealant scams announced on Wednesday.

At this time of year, the Service often receives reports of these scams where they say they have some leftover materials from another job and can fix or seal your driveway for cash.

Homeowners are reminded to:

  • Not pay for work up front

  • Only pay for completed work

  • Say no, if you’re unsure

  • Let someone you trust know about the deal and get a second opinion
