Peterborough Woman and Man Arrested After Being Found Wanted On Warrants

A Peterborough woman and man wanted on warrants were located and taken into custody on Tuesday.

At roughly 1:30 p.m., officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T Unit were on general patrol in the Monaghan Road and Romaine Street area when they spotted a woman wanted on warrants in a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

A 41-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested on the strength of warrants for obstructing a peace officer, failing to comply with an appearance notice, and failing to attend court after appearing.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T Unit were on general patrol in the area of Wolfe Street and Park Street when they saw a man in the snow. They went to check on him and realized he was wanted on warrants for break and enter, failure to comply with probation and failure to comply with an appearance notice. 

The 25-year-old Peterborough man was arrested on the strength of the warrants. 

Both people were held in custody and appeared in court on Wednesday.
