At roughly 4 p.m., Community FIRST Unit officers were dispatched to a business in the area of Charlotte Street and Aylmer Street for a theft in progress. Officers attended the location and found a woman matching the description given to police a short distance away. The officers took the woman into custody and recovered the reported items taken from the store.

During the investigation, it was learned that a Probation Order currently binds the woman with conditions not to attend the location, as well as to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000

  • Fail to comply with probation order

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court on Thursday.
