Peterborough Woman With Suspended License Arrested For Drug Trafficking and Driving Under Suspension

A 46-year-old Peterborough woman is facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop Monday morning.

At roughly 9:30 a.m., an officer on general patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Rubidge Street and Charlotte Street. The officer learned she was a suspended driver and took her into custody.

During a search of the vehicle after arrest, officers located and seized:

  • 7.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine

  • 166.8 grams of cocaine

  • 85.2 grams of green fentanyl

  • Approximately $8,500 in Canadian currency

She was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 - in Canada

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine x2

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin) Fentanyl

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine

  • Driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)

  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit (Highway Traffic Act)

The accused was held in custody and appeared in court on Monday.0000000000
