Second-Degree Murder Suspect From Dec. 6 TVM Towers Homicide Also Wanted In Durham Homicide Incident

Suspect 44-year-old Michael Waterman, wanted for second-degree murder in a homicide at TVM Towers (Brock Towers) on Dec. 6, has been connected to another homicide for the same charge in the Durham region, reported on Wednesday.

At roughly 4:15 a.m. on Dec. 23, Central East Division officers in Durham responded to a call in the area of Park Road South and John Street in Oshawa. Jeremy Russell, a 44-year-old man, was located on the roadway suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in a life-threatening condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Durham Regional Police investigators located the first suspect, Nicholas Robbins, responsible for the stabbing and took him into custody. He was arrested, charged with second-degree murder and held on bail hearing.

Durham Regional Police also want Waterman for the Dec. 23 incident for second-degree murder.

If you spot Waterman, please do not approach him and call 9-1-1 immediately. Durham Police consider him armed and dangerous. Anyone found to be assisting him to evade police is guilty of an offence under the Criminal Code of Canada and will be prosecuted to the full extent.
