A new piece of public art is now part of the Peterborough Transit Terminal, bringing the City’s latest investment in public art and placemaking to a prominent downtown space.
The installation, which began in July, was incorporated into the exterior of the Simcoe Street terminal as part of the broader rehabilitation of the facility.

The work was completed in sections along the terminal, requiring temporary closures of up to two bus bays at a time as crews moved through the site. Those temporary changes are now over, with all bays reopened and buses returned to their regular pickup and drop-off locations.
The project was supported by a $100,000 budget and funded through a combination of municipal investment and the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program as part of the terminal rehabilitation project.
