As September starts and we begin to say goodbye to summer it’s time to fit in the last few warm weather activities before autumn begins!

Whether camping, concerts, markets and festivals, there are lots of fun activities happening this Labour Day long weekend in the Peterborough area!

 

Party in the Boro at the Labour Jam Weekend

Labour Jam Weekend is a free concert that will feature an eclectic mix of genres from 11 well-known local bands including Lindsay Barr and Melissa Payne as headlining acts.

When: 2 - 9 p.m. on Friday and 3 - 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Rock out to some tunes @ Jethro’s Bar + Stage

Jethro’s Bar + Stage is offering a variety of live music over the weekend.

Get to Douro-Dummer for the Douro-Doings

An annual event that takes place on the Labour Day weekend, featuring a baseball tournament, 10 km run, car show, children’s races, frog jumping contests, tug of war, a home-cooked meal and a chance to win a handmade quilt.

Dunk the Mayor for a good cause at the Y-Drive Dunk Tank!

Y Drive is hosting its first annual Dunk Tank event in support of the Y Drive Foundation.

The foundation was created in memory of Dani Sinacori who passed away in August. As a mother of 3 and teacher to many, her life was sports, teaching and family. The foundation will be geared towards school breakfast programs, youth sports and helping our neighbors when they need it.
Come out and dunk the likes of Diane Therrien, Adam Brown (Dr J's/Chemong Lodge), David Bui (PTBO Canada), Rob & Erica from Y Drive and Jessie Primeau from Bowes & Cocks.

Step back in time at the Hastings Medieval Festival

The premier event for sword fighting in Canada. The festival is located, quite appropriately for any history buff, just outside the village of Hastings at Blades of Glory. It is a 3-day festival that is open to all ages.

Pick up some produce at the Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market

The festive year-round Farmers' Market in Downtown PTBO! Held outdoors in the PTBO Square courtyard on Saturdays from 8 a.m til 1 p.m.

Get down to Crooks Rapid Country Festival
