Two Peterborough Residents Charged With Drug Possession at Peterborough Regional Airport

Two Peterborough residents are facing drug possession charges after an investigation at the Peterborough Regional Airport on Thursday morning.

At roughly 11:30 a.m., officers attended the Peterborough Regional Airport on information regarding a chartered plane for a domestic flight. Through the investigation, drugs and an imitation firearm were located and a 40-year-old Peterborough man and a 41-year-old woman were taken into custody.

During a search after arrest, officers seized:

  • Imitation firearm

  • 38.7 grams of Methamphetamine

  • 7.3 grams of Cocaine

  • 7.8 grams of Fentanyl

  • 148 pills - Hydromorphone

  • 862 pills – Dilaudid

  • Canadian currency

  • Cellphones

A 40-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin) x2

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

A 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin) x2

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

The accused were held in custody and appeared in court on Friday.
