Woodward to Close Peterborough Facility Next Year, Affecting 165 Jobs

A Peterborough aerospace manufacturing facility is set to close next year, with approximately 165 employees expected to be affected.

Woodward Canada Inc. will close its Peterborough facility on Fisher Drive, with operations scheduled to end on Aug. 31, 2027.
Production from the Peterborough facility will be relocated to Poland as part of the closure.
The facility manufactures specialized electromechanical systems used in the aviation industry.
Woodward acquired the Peterborough operation from Safran in July 2025.
