Canada Day falls on a Sunday so some stores will be closed on holiday Monday this year. Here's a list we've begun compiling (and will update):
*Although both the Bensfort Road Landfill Site and Hazardous Waste Depot will be closed both days, the Recycling Depot will remain open and garbage and recycling collection will not be impacted.
*The Library will be closed both days (but the book drop is always open).
*Peterborough Transit and Arenas will be closed Sunday, but reopen on Monday.
*Lansdowne Place mall will be open on Canada Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. but closed on July 2nd.
* The Trent University Athletics Centre will be open for reduced hours on both July 1st and 2nd.
* The Silver Bean Cafe will be open all holiday weekend long
