Join our Wild Rock 24 Hour Mountain Bike Team!
Come join Wild Rock at this year’s Chico Racing 24 Hours of Summer Solstice mountain bike event June 24-25, 2017.
What is it?
This is a friendly event for beginner or advanced mountain bikers. At the minimum you need to be able to ride for 1.5 hours on mountain bike trails with some hills and single track. Wild Rock has 5 and 10 person relay teams that start riding at Noon on June 24th and stop at Noon on June 25th. Each lap is approximately an hour so if you are on a 5 person team you should expect to ride 3-5 laps. On a 10 person team you should expect to do 1-3 laps. If you have enough friends we will make sure you are on a team together. If you are a smaller group or just yourself we will make sure you are with a suitable team.
This event involves at least spending the Saturday night in a tent. Many people arrive on the Friday and spend two nights. Your team must organize their own food for meals. There are picnic tables and we provide pop up tents that provide shelter over many of the tables. There are port-a-potties and water at the edge of our campsite.
