PTBOCanada Featured Post: Celebrate The Downtown With Holiday Shopping Passport & Black Friday Deals

Don’t look now but the days are getting cooler and the leaves are nearly gone, which means it’s time for Holiday Shopping Passport giveaways and Black Friday deals in downtown Peterborough!

When you shop, eat, drink or play downtown from November 14th to January 6th, be sure to use your Holiday Shopping Passport that you can pick up at one of the 100 participating business for a chance to win $2,500 in prizes. Seriously, 100 downtown businesses are participating. That’s amazing!

Here's how it works...

Every time you spend $10 at a participating business, a box on your passport will be stamped. When your passport is filled (20 stamps), complete the form and drop it off at a ballot box at one of the participating businesses. Each completed passport is a ballot for a draw to win downtown money. If you fill one up, grab another and keep going.

There will be three early bird draws for $500 in downtown money drawn on December 9th, 16th and 23rd. The GRAND prize of $1,000 in downtown money will be drawn January 6th.

“It’s a great way to support local businesses, find some unique gifts and possibly win some money while you do it,” says Terry Guiel, Executive Director of the Downtown Business Improvement Area.

Black Friday

Bring your Holiday Shopping Passport downtown on November 25th for Black Friday as more than 100 downtown businesses put on some of the biggest sales of the year. Black Friday also just so happens to be one month out from Christmas, so it’s a perfect chance to get some much needed purchases out of the way early!

Take your pick from 100 participating downtown businesses (see full list below), including fashion boutiques, furniture shops, restaurants, salons, gyms, music stores, toy shops, collectible dealers, sports stores and more. When you shop downtown, you’re sure to find something unique—and you’re supporting local entrepreneurs all at the same time!

Downtown will be open early on Black Friday, with many businesses opening their doors by 8 a.m. Look for businesses with Black Friday posters in their windows and Black Friday balloons. Also, parking is FREE for two hours starting Black Friday through to the end of December so you can take your time finding the perfect gifts for your friends and family.
