A Peterborough Bride & Groom Had Epic Stanley Cup Wedding Cake Made By Cake Artist

Peterborough couple Jeff and Natalie just tied the knot last weekend, and the bride and groom had an epic Stanley Cup cake created for their nuptials.

We're not kidding, look at this Cup cake...

The Stanley Cup cake

"They are two huge hockey fans, with hockey being the main link that brought them together to this special day," Peterborough cake artist Margaret Camp tells PTBOCanada of creating this winner. "It just seemed fitting then, that they should have the ultimate prize for their favourite sport as their wedding cake."

"We are both huge hockey fans and players," says Natalie, who is currently honeymooning in Hawaii. "We have played internationally many times together with a doctors hockey team. Jeff cheers for San Jose—and was very happy they won on our wedding night—and I cheer for Montreal."

The couple just graduated as doctors from medical school and are both originally from Peterborough. They are going to be doing their residency training in family medicine in Brantford for a couple years, and hope to return to the Peterborough area after the rest of their training.

The hockey themed wedding also included a half San Jose/half Montreal garder, and Jeff being officially introduced to Natalie's family with a custom Montreal jersey from her brothers.

"It was such a thrill to put this cake together from scratch, and it's the tallest cake I've made to date!" Margaret tells PTBOCanada.
