Peterborough Petes Lose In Shootout Against Guelph Storm

The Peterborough Petes three-game win streak comes to an end with a shootout loss against the Guelph Storm Sunday afternoon.

The first period saw a Petes goal from Yanis Lutz, while Illia Shybinskyi and Leo Serlin were the Storm’s goal-scorers in the second.

The Petes’ Aiden Young tied up the score in the third with just 1:15 remaining.

While overtime brought no goals from either team, Guelph ultimately took the win during the shootout, wrapping things up with a final score of 3-2.

The Petes are back in action Jan. 8 as they host the rival Oshawa Generals. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
