Residents Encouraged to Check Voter Information Before Aug. 12 For the 2026 Municipal Election
/Eligible voters are encouraged to check their voter information before Aug. 12 to ensure they are on the voters' list for the 2026 municipal election.

Residents can check, update or add their voter information online. Information submitted by Aug. 12 will be included in the municipal voters' list that the Province of Ontario provides to municipalities on Sept. 1.
Residents can use RegisterToVoteON.ca to:
confirm they are on the voters' list;
update their name or address;
add themselves to the voters' list; or
add or search for a property they own or rent.
To vote in the City of Peterborough municipal election, you must:
be a Canadian citizen;
be at least 18 years of age on voting day; and
reside in the City of Peterborough, own or rent property in the City, or be the spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the City.
