Trent scored seven times in the opening quarter to take control of Sunday's game at home, holding Bishop’s to just two goals over the first three quarters.

Reed Chamberlain and Connor Curtis each scored twice in the opening 15 minutes, while Jordan Dool, Mason Tardiff and Bronsen Muller also found the back of the net as the Excalibur built a 7-2 lead.

Bishop’s got both of its goals in the first quarter from Emmett Legault, but Trent's defence settled in from there, keeping the Gaiters off the scoreboard in both the second and third quarters.

Muller and Tardiff added to the lead in the second quarter, sending Trent into halftime up 9-2. Keegan Detweiler and Dool scored in the third to make it 11-2 heading into the final 15 minutes.

Bishop’s added two late goals, but Trent held on for the victory.

Goalie Geordy Addison made 13 saves on 17 shots for the Excalibur, who finished with a 5-5 regular-season record. The win also completed a season sweep of Bishop’s.

The Excalibur will now turn their attention to the postseason. Trent travels to Kingston on Sunday, November 8th, to face the Queen’s Gaels at 2pm during CUFLA’s Super Qualifier Weekend.

The game is an opportunity to earn a spot in the 2026 Baggataway Cup, which takes place November 12th to 14th at the University of Ottawa.
