Trent Lakes Woman Wins Over $80,000 In LOTTO MAX Draw

Trent Lakes’s Adela Caschera has become $82,911.10 richer after getting the second-place LOTTO MAX prize from the July 7 draw, announced on Thursday.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $7.6 billion since 2009, including 96 jackpot wins and 844 MAXMILLIONS prizes. Photo courtesy of OLG.

Caschera, a 67-year-old mother of three, said she’s been playing the lottery for over 30 years. She often plays LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 with ENCORE.

“I’ve been playing the same set of numbers for nearly 10 years,” she said. “Those were the numbers I won on.”

One morning, Caschera checked the winning numbers on her computer and saw that her ticket matched.

“I shouted to my husband and told him the news,” she said. “He was so excited for me. I had to step out and process the win.”

The Trent Lakes mother says she will manage her finances with her winnings and share it with her kids.

“I don’t even know how to explain this feeling,” said Caschera. “I’m so thankful and happy I won.'“

The winning ticket was purchased at Foodland on Buckhorn Road in Buckhorn.
