John Grant Jr. Has Burger Featured At Hard Rock Cafe In Denver

Below is a video of Peterborough's John Grant Jr. (take a look at his trick shots, too) making the Legendary Mammoth Burger, which will be available for a limited time at the Hard Rock Cafe in Denver. The burger includes 24 ingredients (Grant's number in lacrosse). He will also be taking on all challengers in a speed eating contest. Grant, of course, stars for the Peterborough Lakers in the MSL and plays pro with the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse League.

Colorado Mammoth forward John Grant Jr. created a 'Legendary' Burger at Hard Rock Cafe Denver, featuring 24 ingredients. Delicious!!!

What Should Peterborough Do About Its Arena Needs?

It's not easy to get ice time in Peterborough, the hockey capital of Canada. Thus, the City of Peterborough has begun an assessment of its arena needs, brought on in part by the potential closure of the outdated Northcrest Arena in the City's north end. This study will determine current needs and look out over the next 20 years in terms of the city's arena needs and population growth. The city will soon be announcing its project and its objectives, as well as announcing upcoming community input opportunities. But to get the puck rolling, what would you do? Retrofit Northcrest Arena? Build a new twin pad arena somewhere in the city? Build a sports complex to address many needs at once? Add your comments below.

Watch: Peterborough Grandpa Creates Mapey Leafy Spider Song For Kids

Dr. Matthew Stewart, a Peterborough man who has a website 50 Ways To Be Happier, put together this "Mapey Leafy Spider" song to inspire kids and their parents who are Leafs fans. The lyrics are:

Mapey Leafey Spider skatin' icy rink,
blast a puck in goal 'cause you call him dirty fink,
so if you don't talk nice, you get ready then,
'cause Mapey Leafey Spider gonna win the game again!

Now watch for yourself, it's getting a lot of views...

Dr. Matt has songs for other NHL teams on his YouTube channel, including Boston, Chicago, Calgary and more.

PtboPics & Coverage: Peterborough Cycling Club 2013 Open House

The Peterborough Cycling Club held their 2013 Open House Saturday night (February 23rd) at Wild Rock Outfitters. Roller racing was the hit of the night, provided by the West of Quebec Wheelers.

There were four fixed gear bicycles on rollers that were hooked up to a mechanical score board to show the racer's progress. As the evening progressed, the bracket of competitors were whittled down to the Final Four men and women.

Do Levis commuter jeans help you win? How about galoshes? Does beating a Wild Rock owner net you a 20%-off discount? Head over to the Peterborough Cycling Club website to hopefully learn these answers and more about the club.
