Alan Wotherspoon, Chair of the Board of Directors at PRHC, today announced the
departure of Ken Tremblay from the position of President and CEO of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Tremblay joined PRHC as the President and CEO in 2010.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to thank Ken Tremblay for his service to the PRHC," says Wotherspoon in a media release. “Under his stewardship the PRHC has provided the people of our community with quality, stable health care services and achieved a more sustainable position for the hospital for the long term.”

While a search is conducted for a new President and CEO, Dr. Peter McLaughlin has been appointed to the position on an interim basis.

Dean Del Mastro Has Resigned As MP

Developing story...

UPDATED: Here's the video of his resignation in the House...

The Young and the Restless

-------

Peterborough is without an MP as Dean Del Mastro has resigned his seat, CBC reports, less than a week after being found guilty of spending too much on his 2008 campaign. "I will not be a distraction in Peterborough," he said during his emotional resignation in the House of Commons.

Del Mastro was found guilty last week on three counts of violating the Canada Elections Act—exceeding spending limits during the 2008 election, failing to report a personal contribution of $21,000 to his own campaign and knowingly submitting a falsified document.

No word on when the by-election will be.

What makes the project special, aside from its format, is the inclusion of theatre veterans with those who have never performed before. A "crash course" if you will, newcomers have been given the opportunity to get on stage for what may be the first time in their life. It consistently provides great results and a thrill for those on and off stage. Many audience members can't believe what they are seeing wasn't even on paper the night before.

See all the Featured performers in the poster below. Tickets are $10 at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., showtime is at 8 p.m. The Gordon Best is located at 216 Hunter Street West.
