Designed to meet the curriculum requirements set by Ontario’s Private Security and Investigative Services Branch (PSISB), the 40-hour course prepares individuals for the provincial licensing exam and the real-world demands of the private security sector.

According to Fleming, industry-relevant content helps students build a strong foundation in professional security practices, legal authorities and responsibilities, emergency response procedures, communication skills, and public safety protocols.

To receive a Training Completion Number (TCN) required to take the provincial licensing exam, students must complete the Ontario Security Guard Preparation Training and hold valid Basic First Aid certification from a WSIB-recognized training provider, which can also be completed through Fleming Continuing Education.

Fleming’s Ontario Security Guard Preparation Training is now open to anyone aged 18 years or older who is legally entitled to work in Canada. Once students receive enrolment confirmation, they can begin training modules within 48 hours.
