Peterborough Man In Possession of Firearms and Ammo On Probation Order Arrested; Theft Charge Also Issued
/A 26-year-old Peterborough man is facing multiple charges of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order after a theft from vehicle call for service, reported on Saturday.

At roughly 10:30 a.m., officers were notified of a theft from a vehicle in the area of Maude Street and Lansdowne Street. The caller stated a vehicle was broken into and a magazine with rounds of ammunition were taken, along with loose ammunition. The rifle in which the ammunition belonged to was stored away and was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Through video footage, officers were able to identify the man, located him a short distance away and took him into custody.
