Team West Defeats Team East 4-3 At 2026 Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game

Adam Novotný named player of the game at the 2026 Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game; as Team East hosted Team West at the Peterborough Memorial Centre Wednesday.

The sold-out game featured some of the top prospects for the 2026 NHL Draft who are currently playing in the OHL.

Team West won a hard fought game by a score of 4-3.

Team East featured a trio of Peterborough Petes players including Leon Kolarik, Adam Levac and Adam Novotný. Novotný led the way for Team East, scoring twice and being named Team East Player of the Game. Adam Levac also had a point in the game, picking up the primary assist on Novotný’s first goal.

The first period saw a West goal from Egor Barabanov and an East goal from Ryder Cali.

Continuing the tied score through the second, Novotný scored his first goal for the East team while Nikita Klepov scored for the West.

Team West ultimately took the win in the third period with two goals from Rylan Singh and Layne Gallacher, while Novotný’s efforts showed a second goal from the forward for team East.

The Petes are back in action on Jan. 16 when they travel to Brantford to take on the Brantford Bulldogs. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the TD Civic Centre.
