Two Impaired Driving Arrests Made During Festive RIDE Checks
/Peterborough Police Service have made two impaired driving arrests during their Festive RIDE checks this weekend.

There was an arrest for impaired driving each night.
At roughly 10:15 p.m. on Friday, a vehicle was stopped at a RIDE check on Lansdowne Street between River Road and Ashburnham Drive.
A 39-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued a 90-day automatic license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
A small child was in the vehicle at the time.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 13.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle was stopped at a RIDE check on Hunter Street between Sheridan Street and Burnham Street.
A 41-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Driver fail to surrender license (Highway Traffic Act)
