Watermain Fitting Repaired at Lansdowne Street West and Spillsbury Drive

Repairs to a water main on Lansdowne Street West and Spillsbury Drive were completed on Thursday evening.

Watermain flushing is a routine part of the annual system maintenance by the City’s Water Services Division to assist in maintaining water quality and reliability of the water distribution system.  Photo by David Tuan Bui.

A water main fitting failed at a construction site, causing water to spray into the air. 

Water Services responded to the site, shut down the water main and completed repairs. 

No customers were affected and water quality was not impacted.
