Meet A Dog Named Autumn Saved By The Lakefield Animal Welfare Society From Horrible Owners

The Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) is a wonderful non-profit organization that rescues stray, injured and abused animals in the Lakefield area. Take the case of "Autumn", a severely injured dog that recently came to them. As they posted to their Facebook page, Autumn "was rescued from a backyard where she's been tied up for WHO knows how long! Her owners either didn't notice or didn't care that her eye infection had caused her eye to rupture." The photos below—via their Facebook post—are utterly disturbing to look at but this is the kind of horrific stuff they deal with, and why their role is vital in saving animals.

Autumn

Autumn has had her eye removed and is safe in a foster home until she's ready for her new forever home, LAWS says. She has an amazing personality, even after all she's been through. If you're interested in donating to help with the medical costs, contact LAWS. Every amount counts in large amounts.

UPDATED post: And here is what Autumn looks like now after love and care...
