Here's Great Footage Of The Snowbirds Flying Over Peterborough

You may have heard the RCAF Snowbirds fly over Peterborough on Tuesday (September 6th). They were treating Seneca College School of Aviation students to a "fly by" on their way back to CFB Trenton from the CNE air show.

Here is great footage of them taken from St. Peter's Cemetery on High Street in this video below from Michael Brioux, who tells PTBOCanada it was taken from his iPhone...

This YouTube video was also captured at Peterborough airport of the Snowbirds flying overhead...

Here is the RCAF Snowbirds overflying Peterborough airport September 6th 2016. They just finished up at the CNE Airshow during the long weekend and were transiting to CFB Trenton, but decided to give Seneca students at the Peterborough campus a little airshow along the way.

This Double Rainbow Image Over Peterborough Is Stunning

We shared this amazing, panoramic image to our PTBOCanada Instagram page of the double rainbow over Peterborough last night (September 1st), and it's getting hundreds of likes. The rainbow over the downtown (we see you Market Hall clock tower!) stretches out from the Quaker Tower to Little Lake, and this Instagram user had the perfect vantage of it from their apartment.

It's stunning...

Donate Blood To Carry On Dr. Andrew Chan’s Legacy

Dr. Andrew Chan was a well-respected member of the Peterborough community for nearly 20 years. Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Chan began his education and career in England. He soon relocated to Canada and began his education in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

After completing his education, Dr. Chan moved to Peterborough and joined the Medical Centre as a gastroenterologist in 1996.

Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Chan became known as a great leader. He stayed current in his field while investigating innovative medical technologies, was constantly pushing to improve patient care, but never lost sight of the importance of bedside manner. In honour of Dr. Chan’s contributions to his patients and this community, the Peterborough branch of Canadian Blood Services is holding a blood drive in his memory.
