The 12th annual Ontario Parks Partners Bursary program recognizes Ontario Parks students who "excel in their jobs by demonstrating a high level of initiative, dedication, volunteerism and customer service."
Forty students recently received $500 educational bursaries for their outstanding performance as Ontario Parks summer employees, including three from Peterborough. They are:
Mackenzie Green – University of Ottawa – Algonquin Park
Naythan Murtha – University of Guelph – Bon Echo Park
Kevin Obbard – University of Waterloo – Algonquin Park
Congratulations to all, and remember that Ontario Parks is the largest employer of students in the Ontario Public Service—hiring more than 1,800 students each summer.

All the neighbours up on Ravenwood/Wildlark in the west end are talking about the damage a driver did on their street last night. According to the police report, an erratic driver behind the wheel of a truck at around 9:30 p.m. damaged up to 20 lawns, struck 2 vehicles, a light pole, and 2 utility poles. He also knocked down trees. Total damages are in the neighbourhood of $50,000. A 48-year-old man has been charged with Impaired Driving, Dangerous Operation and Fail to Remain. Thank goodness no one was injured.

There's still about a week to go for Movember, and here is the wall of support that's still going strong at Reggie's HotGrill.

Be sure to pop into Reggie's or El Camino's to check out Reg and Cam and the rest of the staff as they continue to grow their Mo's!
