Silver Bean Café Running Poster Contest to Countdown To Opening Day

It won't be long before we are sipping coffee and snacking on delicious cookies looking out over Little Lake from the Silver Bean Café. The café will open for the season on Tuesday, May 1st. To get the word out about the opening, they are running a poster contest throughout downtown. Keep your eye out for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate.

A New Subway Is Coming to Parkhill Plaza

Apparently our Subway's per capita haven't been met, as a new one is coming to the plaza at Parkhill and Monaghan.

They should get some good traffic from St. Peter's students.

The Corner Of Hunter & Burnham Is Coming To Life Again

The lot which laid vacant for so long at the corner of Burnham and Hunter streets in East City across from Quaker Oats has officially been re-done with the completion of a new Shell station and Mac's store, which will open for business tomorrow.

Hippy Chippy Re-opens Today at Bonnerworth Park

The Hippy Chippy has relocated and reopened today at Bonnerworth Park (just off McDonnel, near the tennis courts). Having recently lost their old location to Kawartha Canteen, this will be their new home.

Burgers will be added to their great lineup next week.

What's Open And What's Closed This Weekend

Just a few tips for the upcoming long weekend.

There will be no busses running on Friday.

The City Hall, City of Peterborough Day Cares, and the Library will be closed all weekend.

Bensfort Road Landfill Site is closed Friday and Sunday, Hazardous Waste will be closed all weekend and re-open on Monday, while the Recycling Drop-Off Depot will be open all weekend long.
