Winning Entry "The Reason" In ReBOOT/PtboCanada.com Computer Contest

Congrats to Alex Crowley, 25, who is the winner of our ReBOOT/PtboCanada computer contest for this submission:

The REASON

By Alex Crowley:
My mother is the reason. She taught me Right from wrong.
My mother is the reason. Early in my life she taught me our Culture.
My mother is the reason. Achieving a goal she taught me.
My mother is the reason. Study hard and you will find your dreams.
My mother is the reason. Ojibway is the language she taught me.
My mother is the reason. Networking is something I could teach my mom.

Thank you for reading the poem dedicated to my mother. I could help teach her things on the computer that she never learned as a Native child growing up.

Shifting Gears Has Entered The Home Stretch

It is now the final week of Shifting Gears, and the numbers are starting to rack up. So far we have saved the same amount of CO₂ as the emissions from the electricity use of 2.7 homes for an entire year! Way to go Peterborough!

PRHC Radiologist Wins "Dancing With The Docs: Disco Fever"

PRHC Radiologist Dr. Sarah (Sally) Harvie and her dance partner Jesse DiLiello (with choreography by Deona Scott) danced away with top honours on Saturday night at Dancing with the Docs: Disco Fever.

Six local physicians shed their scrubs and hit the dance floor at a gala fundraising dance competition at The Venue in support of the PRHC Foundation’s Closer Campaign. The Venue was transformed into a Studio 54 inspired discotheque, right down to the coloured lights and glimmering disco balls.

More than 300 guests at the event were also treated to a delicious seventies-inspired cocktail reception and buffet dinner. A live and silent auction loaded with amazing items kept guests busy in between activities.
