Video: The Bite, The Owner of Riley's Speaks, The Surveillance Footage and Sebastian Bach Says "Welcome Home"

The story on Sebastian Bach's bad homecoming continues to unfold. In an interview with CHEX Newswatch (see video below), Riley's bar owner Jim Kakouros says the commotion started at around midnight when Bach and his buddies apparently started to heckle the singer at the bar. Soon after, all hell broke loose when they were asked to leave. And TMZ has obtained the surveillance footage at Riley's showing what went down. When asked about the charges Monday as he was being placed in a police cruiser, Bach only had this to say: "Welcome home."

So what was Sebastian Bach doing back in Peterborough in the first place? He says he was here dealing with the estate of his father. "It is no fun doing that," he told reporters outside a Toronto courtroom today. "Packing up your father's life and putting it in a truck. It is so final. I tried to drown my sorrows and things just got out of hand."

Sebastian Bach Comes Home To Peterborough And Eats At Riley's, Hot Belly Mama's... and Harvey's (And *Update*: Gets Arrested)

Sebastian Bach, who grew up right here in the Patch, has been back in the hood the past couple days with a couple buddies, and has tweeted several local spots he's been at, including Hot Belly Mama's, Riley's, and Harvey's. So if you thought you'd just been spotting Sebastian Bach lookalikes all over the Patch, well, you may well have... but it might also have been the real Sebastian Bach.

Sebastian Bach was arrested this morning at Riley's Olde Towne Pub. Here's the deets below via Pete Dalliday's blog entry on KruzFM's website:

Assault/Mischief/Possession of Drugs Arrest:

On the 15th of November at approximately 12:02 am the accused and several friends were at Riley’s Old Towne Pub located on George Street North. A dispute occurred between the accused and Pub staff and he was asked to leave. The accused started to walk toward the doors carrying a glass of wine. When the staff member advised the accused that he could not leave with the glass of wine, he threw it at the front doors shattering the wine glass. The staff member physically detained the accused and the police were called. As the accused was being detained, a struggle ensued and the accused bit the staff member on the left hand.

The police arrived and as a result of the investigation the accused, Sebastian Bierk age 42 of Lindroft New Jersey, was arrested. When Bierk was searched he was found to be in possession of approximately 1.95 grams of marihuana. He has been charged with assault, possession of a controlled substance and mischief under $5,000.00. Bierk has been held in custody and will appear in court later this morning.

Don't Take For Granted What You Have (There Are Many People In The Patch In Need)

We don't realize sometimes how much we clutter our lives with "stuff". Think about all the items in your house that are tucked away in the basement or closet or cupboard that you know you'll never use but yet hang onto.  

Not too long ago, I was on a big cleaning blitz to make some extra room in my apartment. So with my car packed up with a number of boxes and overflowing garbage bags full of no-longer-wanted items, I was off to the donation bin to drop the goods off.  

Upon arrival, I noticed the bin overflowing and things scattered all around below. I began to unload my car when a man approached and began to sort through the treasures that surrounded him. Wide-eyed, he watched me as I unloaded my car full of things that I no longer wanted but were in perfect condition.  

In a polite voice and such sincere curiosity, he asked me, "Why does everyone throw this stuff away?" As he spoke, he held up various items to see if they would be a suitable fit for himself. It stopped me in my tracks to see someone who had such an appreciation for things that we are so lucky to have and often take for granted.

I replied by telling him that people sort through their homes and decide what they no longer need, and likely have bought something new and in turn pass along the "old". He seemed in complete shock to think people would part with such things without thinking twice. As I turned to leave, I told him to have a good afternoon and he wished me the same.  

I drove away and in my rear view mirror watched him continue to ponder the new items which I had just left, along with the abundance of other items that had already been donated. This truly was a reminder for me to be so grateful for all I have.
