The Rogers Video Outlet On Monaghan Road Is Closing

Rogers Video is closing their location at 898 Monaghan Road. Rogers Communication spokesperson Odette Coleman had mentioned a few months back that the company is seeing more subscribers ordering up their movies and TV shows from their cable or online services, and fewer actually driving to a retail outlet.

The location is having two sales: a "Buy 1, Get 2 Free" on previously viewed movies or games, and an "Up to 75%" off video games, hardware and accessories.

Peterborough's Dragon Boat Festival 2011 Is This Weekend

Little Lake and Del Crary Park will be a busy spot this weekend as Peterborough's Dragon Boat Festival gets underway, with opening ceremonies taking place Friday evening at 7 p.m. and the races getting underway first thing Saturday morning. With funds raised this year for PRHC's Breast Assessment Centre, the hope is that they will reach the $2,000,000 mark since the festival first began in 2001.
