Corus On Air Lineup Changes: Pete Dalliday Takes Over Evenings On The Wolf, Dale Lowe Moves To Middays On Kruz FM

Pete DallidayPete Dalliday is the new Wolf 101.5 evening personality from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Dale LoweMonday to Friday, taking over from Dale Lowe. "Pete is best known as the voice of the Petes but is a very talented on air performer in many formats," says JJ Johnston, Regional General Manager, Corus Radio-Ontario East. "He has amazing presence and ties to the Peterborough community."

Dale Lowe is moving from evenings on the Wolf to midday’s on 100.5 Kruz Fm, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. "100.5 Kruz Fm is a great station and Dale is the perfect candidate to take over that slot as Dale was once midday host on the WOLF 101.5 FM," says Johnston. "Dale has a passion for this music and his talents will help to grow the midday Kruz audience."

PtboPics: Vinnies Grand Opening At New Location (The Old One To Be Converted Into Food Bank)

Today was Vinnies grand opening and they offered free hot dogs and hamburgers as part of the festivities. Formally known as St. Vincent De Paul, the staff and numerous volunteers moved the store from their Murray Street spot to the new location at 799 Erskine Avenue. The original location will be converted into a food bank while the new thrift store location is over three times larger.

Batman, Elmo, Fred Penner, Bouncy Castles & More At Children's Day Tomorrow At Del Crary Park

Fred PennerOn Saturday (August 6th) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., head on down to Del Crary Park for a fun filled day of children's entertainment and activities as part of a special Little Lake Musicfest event.

There will be bouncy castles, face painting and balloon sculptors, and folks from the Indian River Reptile Zoo and Jungle Cat World will both be dropping in for a visit. In addition, a Disney Princess, Batman and Elmo will be there to meet your child.

There will also be a performance by Jack Grunsky at 11:30 a.m. and Canadian children's icon Fred Penner at 3 p.m. This free event is courtesy of Celebrate Ontario & The Ministry of Tourism.

Peterborough Man Jumps Into River To Evade Police And Swims To Other Side Only To Be Met By Police

From a Peterborough Lakefield Community Police Service Media Release today...

Arrest for Obstruct Police

On August 4, 2011 a police officer was in the area of George Street and Charlotte Street when he observed a male on a bicycle go through a red light.  The male was stopped and provided his name.  While speaking with the officer the male fled on foot.  The Canine unit tracked the male to behind the Ministry of Natural Resource building and to prevent apprehension the male jumped into the river.   The male swam to the other side where he was arrested by awaiting officers.
 
Further investigation revealed that the male William Ratt, age 34 years of Easthill Drive was on a conditional sentence order to remain in his residence at all times.   Ratt was held in custody for court on August 4, 2011.
