Peterborough Is Apparently Full Of Shiny Happy People According To New Report
/It really is a wonderful life in Peterborough! Yes, we are one of the happiest places in Canada, according to this Centre for the Study of Living Standards report. To be more specific, we are ranked No. 7 in the country. So despite a lot of the findings here about so many people in the Patch desperately needing food and jobs and such, we're still happy! Well, OK. Money doesn't buy you happiness, right? Maybe it's all that gas, Kruz FM's Mike Melnik suggests.
So why are we so damn happy? Thoughts?

Peterborough Father and Son Go Into The Dragons' Den To Try And Sell Stake In... Monster Truck Business
/
Yet another duo from Peterborough took their idea to the den in last night's episode of Dragons' Den. The father and son owners of Bucking Bronco, Kevin and Ray Lubsen, were asking for $98,000 for a 33 percent stake in their monster truck biz. Unfortunately, the Dragons weren't convinced and said it was nothing more than a hobby, so no deal was made.

Get All Fancy For Peterborough's Fashion District Block Party

A four-day fashion sale will be happening downtown on George Street, starting today at 10 a.m and running through Sunday. There will also be an opening party at Splice tonight at 9 p.m.
The sale itself will span numerous stores with in-store specials, giveaways and over $1,000 in prizes at the opening party.
