A S-c-a-r-y House Is Hosting Fundraiser For Peterborough Huskies
/Luke Heard is the creator of the super scary HEARD'S HELLHOUSE, which is a Halloween house on Walker Avenue in Peterborough you don't want to miss.
Heard tells PTBOCanada he will be opening the doors to the public at Heard's Hellhouse (2074 Walker Avenue) for a sneak peek on October 17th from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. (admission is $2).
He will then be hosting a fundraiser there for the Peterborough Huskies special needs hockey team on October 24th (starting at 7:30 p.m.), with all proceeds/donations going to the Huskies team.
"The reason I picked the Huskies special needs team is because my niece, Emily, plays for them—she suffers from a rare autoimmune disease called Juvenile dermatomyositis," Heard tells PTBOCanada.
"My mom introduced me to Cathie Crozier Tuck (one of the founders of the Huskies), and I mentioned I'd like I do a fundraiser and help support a local charity for kids in the area who want to enjoy the same sports other kids play!"

Experience: A Friday Night Trying To Get Out Of The Sheriff's Office In Escape Maze
/It was a Friday night and the whole gang was locked away in the Sheriff's Office. There was Sure-shot Scott, Eastbound Em', Pistol Parrington, Jail-Break Julie (aka our Julie Morris) and Hawkeye Holt (aka me, Evan Holt).
Escape Maze
We knew we only had 45 minutes before the Sheriff returned to his office, so despite being locked away in two separate jail cells, we had to work together to make our escape. Our eyes darted around the room and we started finding clues (some easy to find, some not so much).
Each solved puzzle rewarded us with a clue that we used to get one step closer to the final door to our escape. Sweat started dripping from my brow. How long had it been since the Sheriff stepped out? What if he came back early? All I knew is that busting out of here would be a great tale to tell the friends over a cold drink.

There Is A Bluesmobile Parked In Peterborough

"I'm not sure of the story behind it, but it had all the The Blues Brothers details, down to the black fedora in the back window and the Illinois license plate!" Root tells PTBOCanada.

[***UPDATE: We are told the owner of the car is Stan Hammond. Stan and his brother, Bob, often perform at events as Jake and Elwood. Their Bluesmobile is a former 1974-440 RCMP police car. They had it shipped here to Peterborough from Edmonton and then had it completely done over to be an exact replica of the cop car in the Blues Brothers movie. Also, Stan and Bob and their Blues Brothers band will be performing December 19th at the Venue.]
